Sacred Economics traces the history of money from ancient gift economies to modern capitalism, revealing how the money “Spirituality, in other words, is not about that which is beyond materiality; it is about what the modern worldview does not recognize or cannot see. It therefore has everything to do with economics. Customarily modern people think of spirituality as something outside of relations of money, matter, and the flesh, but it should be about reclaiming their sacred dimension. He asks those who read Sacred Economics to consider what this gift might be worth to them, and if they deem it useful, to pay him in thanks or pay it forward. For me, this review is my way to pay it forward.
